OFFICIAL SELECTIONS TUMANDOK - INDIGENOUS

Since BAKUNAWA FEST started (then called Bakunawa Young Cinema), we've been very conscious to program quality indigenous films from local and international filmmakers. It is important for us that these films are told without misappropriating any Indigenous group of People. In many cultures, we can trace fantastical stories, mystical folklores and great adventures from the creative and genius minds of the indigenous people. They tell stories best because they're more attuned to the natural wonders of the world. This year, we've selected some of the most interesting indigenous films from among the submissions and we're very proud to screen them for edition X.
