A timid young boy who grew up with misfits deals with confusion and tragedy on the night of his 12th birthday.

Kyla Romero is a writer and filmmaker from the Philippines whose works have tackled womanhood, sexuality, and loss of innocence. One of her plays, entitled “A Little Game”, showed a vivid account of childhood sexual abuse and was staged at the Short and Sweet Theater Festival in 2019. In 2020, she became the co-writer for “Ria”, a feature project which gained a special mention in Talents Tokyo 2021 and became one of the projects being developed for the 2022 Festival de Cannes La Résidence.
